Vicky & Stuart’s Wedding // Highfield Park // Heckfield
2017 , July 28, 2017
On Friday 28th July 2017, the wedding day of Vicky & Stuart, I met with Vicky first of all at her home, she was with her daughter, father, sister & brother-in-law. It was fantastically relaxed & the family made me feel really welcome.
Once Vicky was ready, with her father waiting patiently downstairs, she made her way to her ceremony venue, Wokingham Registry Office. It is an elegant room with a big bay window, mood lighting & an incredible chandelier. This is where I met up with Stuart, how was with his son, parents & sister. This is the most wonderfully intimate wedding with just close family.
Following the marriage service, we all made our way to gorgeous Highfield Park Wedding Venue – which is where Vicky works! Consequently, we had a few more added to the wedding party as her colleagues joined us.
I always love working at Highfield Park wedding venue, the staff, the service & the venue are all amazing. I highly recommend Highfield Park wedding venue, not only is the venue itself simply stunning, with amazing countryside views. The staff goes above & beyond.
I asked the newlyweds a few questions about their day, this is their story in their own words!
How did you meet? How did it all begin?:
“We both worked at Virgin Atlantic at Heathrow”
Tell me a little about your engagement story?:
“We have been together for 10 years but never engaged. We decided to get married first?! However, one day when I came home my ring was waiting on the table with a bottle of champagne and 2 glasses…”
Which wedding gown did you choose? And where did you get it?:
“I got my dress from the Ascot Bridal Centre. I was made by Sincerity style 3962 and is described as a satin and lace gown with Queen Anne neckline and keyhole back”
What jewellery, shoes and other bits did you wear? And from where?:
“I wore a pair of ivory lace court shoes called “Lily”
Jewellery was a pair of silver and pearl earrings that Stuart brought me for the wedding. And Sworskovsi bracelet that the children had brought me for Mothers Day.
My something borrowed was my late nan’s broach which I attached to the ribbon on my bouquet. My something old was a lace handkerchief which also belonged to my nan.
In my hair, I wore a crystal flower and freshwater pearl bridal hair comb”
What did your partner wear? And from where?:
“Stuart wore a blue 3 piece suit brought from Moss Bros.
We had him and my dad’s ties made to match the colour of Mia’s dress”
Who did your hair & makeup?:
“Hair & Make-Up was done by Georgia Souter at Brush Ltd”
Who did your flowers & cake? And who styled your venue?:
“Our bouquets and buttonholes were done by VFB Florist in Twyford.
Our Cake was made by The Vanilla Cake Company
Our Venue was style by Berkshire Wedding Hire”
How many guests attended your day/and evening?:
“10 including us and our 2 children”
What was your wedding song/playlist?:
Your honeymoon destination?:
“We will be going for a family holiday to the Isle of Wight later in August”
Your most memorable moment of your wedding day?:
“We loved everything about the day, however, I think the most memorable moment for me would be first seeing Stuart as I walked into the ceremony room. I also loved the way the children held hands and walked in first.
I just asked Stuart and he said when myself and the children walked into the ceremony room!!”
Do you have a ‘top tip’ for other couples?:
“If you don’t want the “big” wedding you don’t have to for it to be the most amazing day. We loved our relaxed intimate wedding and are so pleased that we decided to do it this way”
Congratulations to you both, thank you for letting me share your special day. Wishing you many years of health & happiness together ❤️
