Sarah-Anne & Adam’s Wedding Blog // Farnham House Hotel // Farnham
Bride , May 28, 2017
Welcome to Sarah-Anne & Adam’s Wedding Blog from Farnham House Hotel in Farnham, Surrey.
The morning of Sarah-Anne’s wedding started very relaxed & quite with just her Mum & bridesmaid with her whilst she got ready at Farnham House Hotel Wedding Venue, in Farnham.
We met for their ‘pre-wedding’ meeting at Farnham House Hotel back in May 2017, where we had a run-through of their day & a chance to practice wedding photography before their big day! This helps the couple to feel less anxious about having their picture taken, also guides me about the images they would like on the day.
My glamorous assistant, who is also my lovely husband Arron, met with the Groom, Adam, whilst he was getting ready. With the support of his best man, he succeeded to keep Adam calm on the morning of the wedding.
Sarah-Anne & Adam had their beautiful ceremony outside at the grand pavilion at Farnham Hosue Hotel Wedding Venue. And with Sarah-Anne looking beautiful in her wedding dress, and escorted by her father, the ceremony took place.
Farnham House Hotel Wedding Venue is such an idyllic place for your wedding ceremony, it is located a short distance from the charming Farnham Town, and surrounded by incredible countryside views.
I asked the newlyweds a few questions about their day, this is their own story in their own words…
How did you meet? How did it all begin?:
“Adam & I met at a mutual friend’s 21st birthday party at Brewers Fayre in Aldershot on 02/11/07. He was very shy at first & then after a while, he started to buy me drinks & got to know each other a little”
Tell me a little about your engagement story?:
“I had proposed to Adam in 2012 & he said he wasn’t ready, and then I proposed again in 2016 & he said yes. I had told my mum that I was planning on proposing to Adam end of February (leap year, 2016) and I asked her to advise on how I should go about doing it? My Mum said I should get a jelly pot & a ring pull or key ring & pop that into the jelly pot then when he gets to the bottom of the jelly pot & finds the key ring I should get down on one knee & propose and I did. Lucky for me he said ‘Yes'”
Which wedding gown did you choose? And where did you get it?:
“The wedding gown I chose in the end (after looking at 5 dresses) was called “Lucy-Bee” gown with a deep neckline, bolero and burgundy sash. I bought the wedding gown from The Farham Boutique in Farnham“
What jewellery, shoes and other bits did you wear? And from where?:
“The shoes I wore were Faith from Debenhams, they were silver with flower detail on. My mum bought me a silver tiara, silver necklace, earrings, and bracelet to match from Dubai”
What did your partner wear? And from where?:
“Adam wore a light blue lounge suit from Moss Bros, ivory tie & pocket chief with black shoes.
Who did your hair & makeup?:
Stacey Grigg did my hair & makeup on the day.
Who did your flowers & cake? And who styled your venue?:
“The flowers were done by Lady Flora in Sandhurst”
“The Cake was done by Adams Step-Grandad (Ted)”
“The chairs were decorated by the Farnham House Hotel Wedding Venue & my Mum decorated the tables & wine glasses”
How many guests attended your day/and evening?:
“Day guests = 68 adults & 6 children (total – 74) + 2 babies”
“Evening guests = 100 (catered for 75)”
What was your wedding song/playlist?:
“A Thousand Years – Christina Peri”
Your honeymoon destination?:
Your most memorable moment of your wedding day?:
“Seeing Adam at the Alter and saying our vows”
Congratulations to you both, wishing you many years of health & happiness together ❤️
