Amy & Jake’s Wedding // Frimley Hall Hotel // Frimley
2017 , February 28, 2017
Welcome to Amy & Jake’s wedding blog, they were married at Frimley Hall Hotel wedding venue in Frimley, Surrey.
I was over the moon to be asked to be Amy & Jake’s wedding photographer. Amy & Jake’s beautiful wedding started at the lovely Frimley Hall Hotel in Frimley, where Amy was getting ready in the bridal suite with all her beautiful bridesmaids! At first the sun was shining, however, the day turned to cloud & we had a downpour for most of the afternoon.
Amy was surrounded by her gorgeous bridal party, which included her sister’s, her soon-to-be sister-in-law and her best friends, all sharing her special day. Her maid of honour was her sister Leanne with her other sisters Bryony & Megan as her bridesmaids, along with Jake’s sister Lucy, and her best friends Sally & Vicky!
The room was busy…but not too busy for the girls to have a giggle and we got some fantastic fun shots. There were fits of laughter when Bridesmaid Sally fell off the bed but I graciously haven’t included that picture on this blog!!
Their love story started when they met in their local nightclub, Jake ‘wooed’ Amy with his interesting dance moves & then he asked Amy out on a date. As their romance blossomed, Jake decided to pop the question…so one evening he asked Amy to make him a cup of tea, & after a bit of persuading Amy finally went into the kitchen, only to find a scratch card with ‘Will You Marry Me?’…she said yes of course!
Amy chose an exquisite slim, ‘almost’ fishtail ‘Lacey’ wedding gown from Farnham Boutique. With shoes from Monsoon.
Amy wore jewellery borrowed from her Mum & finished her elegant wedding gown with a belt & hairpiece also from Farnham Boutique.
Amy’s sister Leeanne (Sheppard) is a hairdresser so she styled her hair whilst Jen Lo from LoLo&Co did Amy’s make-up ~ and Amy looked stunning, with such elegance.
Jake looked very handsome in his navy blue suit from Next, with their son Jack wearing a mini-suit the same as his Daddy’s! Both were accompanied by Jake’s Best Man, Nick.
Amy & Jake are lucky are to have such a talented florist in the family, Jake’s Aunty did all the wedding flowers for them! The beautiful cake was made by Cakes By Nina. The venue looked stunning & was styled by Charlotte the Venue Dresser.
Amy & Jake were joined by 70 guests during the day with another 20 in the evening, and although it rained all afternoon/evening they were brave enough to tackle an outside ‘smoke bomb’ shot! Awesome!
I asked the newlyweds a few questions about their day, this is their own story in their own words…
Our first dance:
“This year’s love” by David Gray
Our honeymoon destination:
“we went to Cyprus for our honeymoon, it wasn’t as relaxing as we would have liked as we took our little monkey, Jack, our two year old!”
Most memorable moment:
“was seeing each other for the first time as I was walking down the aisle, all the nerves went away & I realised that I couldn’t be happier ~ this day couldn’t have been any more perfect! We wouldn’t have changed a thing about our day!” [Amy]
Top tip for other couples: “make sure you book a brilliant wedding photographer like we did, you don’t realise how important the pictures are to remember your special day! Also, try to stay relaxed & laid back in the morning, everything will come together & be amazing in the end!

Thank you, Amy & Jake, for your kind words, we wish you many years of health, happiness & laughter together! ❤
